I bought a gallon of the BMW coolant and if I'm reading the container right whether you are flushing or topping off, it's a 50:50 mixture coolant and distilled water. 60:40 for extreme cold temp (not me). The parts guy said not to mix with water but that doesn't sound right.

WebAug 11, 2013 · When I swapped from the OE coolant to WW in my 2010, I flushed the system with Distilled water. But, after 8 to 10k miles, it started running hotter than normal. When I checked the coolant it thickened-up. The only thing I can contribute it to was not completely flushing the previous coolant before installing the new stuff.
