CERB was discontinued on Sep 26 th, 2024 to be replaced with CRB. WebCERB recipients who repay it after December 31, 2024 will be taxed on the full amount of benefit received in 2024. For example, a self-employed CERB recipient who repays it in January 2024 will be required to pay income tax on the repaid amount once he or she files their 2024 income tax returns.
