WebDec 23, 2004 · The groove tubes idea isn't bad. They make a Mullard 12ax7 re-issue which is great in Marshall amps. The vintage Marshall amps made in the 60's and 70's used Mullard tubes made in Great Britain. Those tubes are awesome! You can buy tubes at GC but they will rip you off.
