WebKorean Hornbeam make great Bonsai. The leaf size is very small and autumn colour can be exceptional with green, yellow, pink and browns all at once. Most keep their leaves on over winter. Keep this species in full sun (but out of drying wind) to encourage great autumn colour, and feed well with a balanced fertilizer throughout the growing season. WebHornbeam like Beech retains its leaves in the winter which is great for screening, windbreak, boundary or barrier uses.
