WebMarisa Merz (23 May 1926 – 20 July 2024) was an Italian artist and sculptor. [1] In the 1960s, Merz was the only female protagonist associated with the radical Arte povera movement. [2] [3] In 2013 she was awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice Biennale. [4] She lived and worked in Turin, Italy.
